Hì-gâm (Eng-gí: lung cancer) sī tī hì--nih ū seⁿ ok-sèng (malignant) liû (tumour) ê 1 chióng gâm-chèng (cancer). Ū 90% sī hì-kńg-chi goân-sèng-gâm (bronchogenic carcinoma). Hì-gâm sī siāng bé-miā ê gâm-chèng, 1 tang ū 3 pah-bān lâng tì-tio̍h hì-gâm lâi óng-seng. Kan-taⁿ 10 hūn 1 ê lâng ē-tàng koh oa̍h koè 5 tang. Chá-chêng tio̍h hì-gâm--ê lóng sī cha-po͘, chit kúi 10 tang lâi, cha-bó͘ tio̍h--tio̍h ê pí-lē jú lâi jú koân, che tiāⁿ-tio̍h kap chia̍h-hun ham khong-khì u-jiám ū tī-tāi[1]. Hiān-chú-sî cha-bó͘ tì-tio̍h hì-gâm lâi óng-seng--ê khah chē pa̍t chióng gâm-chèng, chhin-chhiūⁿ leng-gâm (breast cancer), nn̄g-châu-gâm (ovarian cancer), kap chú-kiong-gâm (uterine cancer).
