蝕日（英語：solar eclipse）是講月娘走來地球佮日頭中央，共日頭的光線閘牢，佇地球頂懸會有幾分鐘久看無日頭。蝕日干焦新月（New Moon）的時看會著，彼陣日頭佮月娘當佇合（conjunction）的位。
全蝕日（total solar eclipses）是日頭全部攏予月娘閘牢，彼陣會當做誠濟觀察。1919年佇西非洲的一擺蝕日，證明一般相對論的理論有確實。逐擺蝕日之間佇舊曆內底通常是差一、五抑六個月。
