Sit-ji̍t (蝕日; Eng-bûn: solar eclipse) sī kóng Goe̍h-niû chaú lâi Tē-kiû kap Ji̍t-thaû tiong-ng, kā Ji̍t-thaû ê kng-soàⁿ cha̍h tiâu, tī Tē-kiû téng-koân ē ū kúi hun-cheng kú khoàⁿ bô Ji̍t-thaû. Sit-ji̍t kan-taⁿ sin goe̍h (New Moon) ê sî khoàⁿ ē tio̍h, hit chūn Ji̍t-thaû kap goe̍h-niû tng tī ha̍p (conjunction) ê ūi.
Choân sit-ji̍t (total solar eclipses) sī Ji̍t-thaû choân-pō͘ lóng hō͘ Goe̍h-niû cha̍h tiâu, hit chūn ē-tàng chò chiâⁿ chē koan-chhat. 1919 nî tī Se Hui-chiu ê 1 pái sit-ji̍t, chèng-bêng it-poaⁿ siong-tùi-lūn ê lí-lūn ū khak-si̍t. 2006/03/29 sit-ji̍t koh koè ài tán kaù 2008/08/01 sit-ji̍t.
